How will Penn St fare vs Michigan & Ohio St this year?

It sure does...especially in 2023 when Penn State plays an Ohio State team with questions at quarterback, O line, and all over the defense.
We have questions at QB (we too have a rookie QB that has not taken meaningful snaps), the O Line (they looked mediocre to bad against the only good defenses they faced) and all over the defense (FS, SS, 5 Tech, 3 Tech, 1 Tech) as well and we lack a legit #1 receiver in an offense that requires one.

Agree with you about the iffy OSU defense but don't kid yourself, the OSU offense will be off the charts again. If they can ever figure out how to put a decent defense on the field, it could be lights out for the rest of the conference but I have to see it first. Their defenses under Day have been PUTRID - at best

If it were PSU we'd still be screaming about the no targeting call.....still trying to understand that one.

Yeah......that was a tough one. If that call is upheld, we probably score 7 instead of 3, win the game, and probably win the national title. Plus, removing Marv for the rest of the game hurt. But that's life.

As for us in 2023.......big question mark is QB. Most of us are confident in McCord, especially with the WRs and RBs he'll have. But you never know. Defense *should* be far improved -- our best players across the board return, including our LBs and DEs. Just as it did last year, our secondary will determine whether we're a champion or a "really good" team that falls short when it matters.

Schedule is tougher this year, going to South Bend early and closing @ Michigan.
