Great info. So right now Carter is the 5th lowest seed wrestling in the semis. Also, the #1 and #2 seeds are wrestling in 7 of the 10 weights. Just shows the formula for seeding selection works. The funny thing is that before the tourney started, the two weights where everyone thought that anyone could get to semis was 125 and 174, and they are the exact two weights where it's been a free-for-all.

Right now it is even better, they have threads discussing who they should buy for six different weight classes.
Oh and the fire Brands threads are alive and well.
I am not sure Hardy's wife has had that good of view of the family jewels.
I think that’s typical of most wrestlers who have to endure Brands’ brutal and exhausting training.
Stupid Stats and Observations
- Only 184 saw all four top seeds make the semifinals
- The 3 seed failed to make the semifinals in 7 of the 10 weight classes
- The 1 seed made the semifinals in 8 of the 10 weight classes
- The 2 seed made the semifinals in 7 of the 10 weight classes
- The 3 seed made the semifinals in 3 of the 10 weight classes
- The 4 seed made the semifinals in 5 of the 10 weight classes
- 5 double-digit seeds made the semifinals
- The 6 seed made the semifinals in 6 of the 10 weight classes
- Every weight class has at least one 20+ seed still wrestling
- Thirteen 20+ seeds are still wrestling
- The highest seed still wrestling is 28 Jared Simms (UNI) at 174
- Four 26 seeds are still wrestling
- 17 wrestlers lost their first match and made the blood round
- Only 165 didn't have a wrestler that lost their first match make the blood round

I love to listen to Byers (even if he can't pronounce "sixth"). He's usually close to flawless in his commentating, but the poor guy is struggling to keep up today. Missing whole matches, wrongly reporting matches done when it's only the end of the 1st or 2nd period, assuming wins for a particular wrestler when he sees no action on the mat, calculating a wrongly called “winner’s” next opponent, drearily forecasting Carter’s likely loss to Mekhi, etc. 🤣

Iowa based on their seeds was predicted to be 9th. They are in 5th currently.
My feeling was he wanted locked hands to be called, asked for a brick, then tried to bait a locked hands at least once

He had Shapiro with a pin in quarters and then 10 minutes later he was announcing the end of the match. He tried to validate his earlier statement by saying that, no one was on the mat and maybe it was concussion protocol.??
He totally missed the first Kasak match. He thought he maybe got an injury default.??
I was nowhere near a TV or computer. I was relying on Byers keeping me in the loop.
Let's just say he was trying real hard and probably would benefit if he had a spotter helping him. I use to be a spotter at high school football games. Maybe I could get press credentials next year and help Ironhead 😏

Jm98 - serious question. Remember when Iowa somewhat unceremoniously dumped Zalesky back around 2002? I’d be surprised if the same happened to TnT, but do you think there is a possibility of a private meeting next week where they are told that they have to start doing better?
Doubtful that they would pay another person to accompany him, and what makes him great is that he doesnt get sidetracked by telling stories. He is best off by himself.
Him and Shane on the mic together would be entertaining... lol
