149 is going to be painful to watch this year. neither wrestler imo could AA at this point and neither wrestler looks like they want the job
I think this is a salty and hot take. I think Berge has had a good tourney. There is room to improve, where better to do so then the room where Zain reigns?

Nolf v Mandarino (Stanford)
  • Mandarino gets a double and takes Nolf down, 2-0
  • Nolf gets to seatbelt and away, 2-1
  • Nolf snaps down and goes behind, 3-2
Second
  • Nolf starts down, escapes 4-2
  • Lots of Jason Nolf things happen including a nearly successful cradle and it's 12-4
  • BUT THERE'S THE CRADLE AND THE PIN FOR THE PENN STATE RECORD

I'd like a different angle on that Gomez / RBY match. It looks like they left the cylinder well before the pin was called.

Alas, finger pointing and crowd shushing don't mean shit in January.

He seemed to only piss Jason off by taking him down. Jason wasn't going to be denied the pin after that.

Pipher v Carson (Ohio)
  • Two weird scrambles to begin the match, both guys trying to leg pass, still 0-0
Second
  • Pipher on top but Carson reverses, 2-0
  • Pipher reverses 2-2
  • Escape, Pipher down 3-2
  • Carson gets to legs, 5-2
Third
  • Not sure how it became 5-5 but Carson has :50 RT and there's 1:15 remaining
  • There was a mysterious challenge and it came back that Pipher was up 7-5
  • Pipher has him cradled up and there's the PIN!

Joseph v Dellavecchia (Rider)
  • Dellavecchia got to the ankles but a stalemate resulted
  • Cenzo with a double, Dellavecchia tried to granby but Cenzo wound up on top
  • Cenzo looked to be letting him up but was really setting him up for a cradle, which he nearly converted, 4-0
  • Dellavecchia up, 4-1
  • Dellavecchia slides by and gets two, now 4-3
  • Cenzo manages to spin and face Dellavecchia just before time runs out, gets the E1, 5-3
Second
  • Cenzo down, his RT dwindling to 00
  • Cenzo having a tough time with the longer Dellavecchia, but stands up and gets away, 6-3, one minute left in second
  • Dellavecchia gets to a leg but Cenzo rips his fingers away and goes behind, 8-3
Third
  • Dellavecchia on bottom, Cenzo content to ride, maybe get that RT point back
  • Dellavecchia out, Cenzo up 8-4 with :45 remaining
  • Sloppy shot by Dellavecchia that Cenzo stuffs, thought cradle but nothing
  • Double by Cenzo and tilt gets 2NF, now it's 14-5 and RT and that's it, 15-5
