Then the comments about him being "unprepared" are undermined...Jimmys and Joes...it isn't complicated...he just isn't as good as Clifford, wow what a surprise, the backup isn't as good as the starter.
Comments about QB depth would be much better founded...

why a HR throw on 1st down? They haven't been close to making that work with Cliff or with Ta'Quan
With the portal it's just hard to have a competent backup QB. Any decent QB is not going to a team with a returning starter.
Gotta recruit 2 QB's every year, one of them from PA. And hope one that can play a little stays around home..........

That is a MUCH better question than those complaining about play calls or preparation...That series he was just off on his throws...it has nothing to do with play calls or knowing the plays; he just missed the receivers, some of which were open...
All of those throws were terrible. Roberson has no touch and couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn at this point. Super difficult position for him to be in, but this is Big 10 football. The kid must not complete passes on air.
This Iowa team is garbage. They should actually drop in the polls after this horrible effort.

Roberson air-mails every throw. Some semblance of touch would have been nice.
I wish anyone on our offense would have stepped up…offensive line was a joke with false starts, dropped passes by TE and WR….may not have been great passes but when you have a new QB someone has to help him out and make a play.
Should have gone 3rd string middle of 4th. Never understood Taquan recruitment or being 2nd string. Doesn’t have even a pinch of it. Not his fault. Just not a D1 QB.
