Never seen Max give up so many TDs as he did in this tournament, and he definitely let one slip away against Truax last night. Still, a 7th place finish isn't too shabby and he really had a nice two seasons for PSU. His absence appears to leave a hole at 197.

IIRC, Cardenas may have beaten him in freestyle shortly before the transfer which added fuel to those rumors.
The other format doesn't have coaches splitting mats.

Not sure. Levi just might be that irresistible force and he did eventually just pick the immovable object up and throw it down.

I’ve heard rumors about a pretty decent wrestler at 184 moving up a weight.
I think NCAAs is where we really see the benefit of good weight management and nutrition.
Clay Carson from SD State is quite an articulate kid. Just gave Qunit by far his best post-match interview of the Tournament.
SVN beats the guy that majored Murin in Murin's last college match after Murin beat SVN three times this year lmao. The Penn State/Iowa March dichotomy will never get old.
Penn State is going to crush their previous mark for how many points they win Nationals by.
Murin inspired this tournament, overcoming a disastrous seeding. Wrestled better than a 6th place finish but that's the breaks sometimes.
Gonna be hard for me to find another Murin where I could actually cheer for a Hawkeye. 
So Max beat his seed and outplaced both Allred and Beard. Impressive effort!
Isn't it crazy how almost all the athletes that wrestle are just so humble and likeable? There is no other sport that builds the kids into great young men.

Gonna miss him a lot. Been one of my favorites for 5 years. Incredible to see him finally stand on the podium. Well deserved.Gonna be hard for me to find another Murin where I could actually cheer for a Hawkeye.
