In MD we have picks in for the 1,3,4, and 100% for 6-10 ranked recruits, and yet there is all this talk about Lock locking down MD. Got quite the task in front of him if so. He might win some of those, but we will do just fine.

The only one missing from your list is #10 Moten.

We'll see an uptick in their recruiting for a cycle or so, just like we saw with Durkin. But after they get demolished by PSU, OSU, and Michigan next season they'll fall back to their normal territory. The best time of recruiting at Maryland is during the offseason when they're not being embarrassed on the field.

Yep....they will try to start the "Stay Home Movement" and state that they will championships if all the DMV kids stay home...

A few higher profile DMV recruits will commit to UMD and try to be the leaders of the "Stay Home Movement" class, but after it doesn't really catch on, they will decommit and go elsewhere

I've seen this story too many times now. For example, Dwayne Haskins and the 2016 class. A bunch of them tried to start this "movement" and verbally committed to UMD and then ended up signing elsewhere when it never really gained steam.

Few crystal balls of 2020 5-star RB, MarShawn Lloyd to UMD. Penn State was at 100% with all 8 crystal balls.

Definitely related to UMD hiring his high school head coach (DeMatha Catholic) as their running back coach under Locksley.

Lloyd is one I could see. Other than that it’s going to be tough to even get that uptick

DMV area is so stacked and fertile. Locksley is an amazing recruiter but I just don't think he is a good x/os coach.

If he does not hire a decent oc/dc then that talent will go to waste.

Sounds like 5 star, #8 overall OSU OT verbal Paris Johnson Jr. isn't going to be far behind.

Top-rated Ohio State commit Paris Johnson Jr. surprised by Urban Meyer retirement
Announcement 'unexpected' for St. X junior OT

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Urban Meyer’s retirement announcement Tuesday morning had a significant impact on St. Xavier junior offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr.

Johnson, rated the nation’s No. 8 recruit overall in the 2020 class by 247Sports, verbally committed to Ohio State this past summer. Tuesday’s news that Meyer would retire after the Rose Bowl was surprising to Johnson’s mother, Monica Johnson.

“Today was totally unexpected,” Monica Johnson told WCPO. “It has been an overwhelming day for our family. "

Multiple Ohio State commits in the 2019 and 2020 classes took to social media to affirm their verbal commitments to the Buckeyes. But, Johnson's family was still processing the news as of early Tuesday afternoon.

"Obviously, Paris was disappointed by this news," St. Xavier coach Steve Specht said. "We spoke about the situation and discussed his options moving forward with recruiting."

Monica Johnson told WCPO that Paris has a very strong connection with Meyer.

“We are disappointed in this morning’s announcement; we are continuing to process the news,” Monica Johnson said.

The “Ohio State won’t miss a beat w Day at HC” takes were premature.

Indeed. It’s interesting to see the pics these kids post after visits to UM, tOSU, Penn State and Nebraska ... versus most other B1G schools. You can tell the “production value” that goes into the photographers, the concepts, the software used to edit the pics, the uniforms and setup and overall photo quality. Penn State does it well. It’s an underrated recruiting aspect since there’s only so much a university can do within NCAA rules. The nicer a pic looks, the more likely it makes the rounds on social media. Not the end all be all, certainly, but a cool memento for the recruits to have.

I believe Haladay has been offered by Michigan
The classic offer to try and get Fleming. I'd be stunned if his Michigan offer isn't contingent on Fleming also coming to Michigan - and if Fleming goes elsewhere, there's no way Michigan is an option for the kid. It's just how Harbaugh does things.

Michigan gets a verbal from 3 star (future decommit after being recruited over) QB JD Johnson

Michigan fans embracing Harbaugh's "used car salesman" recruiting tactics.

Not worried. Harbaugh has made it clear that he expects improvement during senior seasons for middling star recruits. If not they get processed.

What could go wrong?? Processed, ghosted, transfers brought in, .......

Not sure about Gaige. But, Michigan is recruiting his LB teammate Cal Haladay. He visited UM this past weekend.
Garcia is a really good football player, but he is small and not all that fast (elite level speed for his size). He does not have the measurables for high level P5 college football, and it’s not even close really. These schools “recruiting” Garcia and Haladay are just trying to get to Fleming I believe.

With that being said I think Haladay is an FBS recruit, but no way Michigan is in the mix without Fleming.

As a wrestler or football player? The kid is a better wrestler than tailback
I went to SCA back in the horse and buggy days. One of my team mates who still lives in Catawissa told me that Garcia has a wrestling offer from Oklahoma State.
