Maybe The Iowa Gamblers Still Have a Chance

My objection to your "example" ( and it's not an example, what you've described is a hypothetical as it actually hasn't occurred ) has nothing to do with any personal preference or aesthetics.

The reason I reject it as stupid is because it isn't a remotely plausible hypothesis for the reasons I provided that you were apparently blissfully unaware when you postulated it. I don't give out participation trophies for whiffing at T-Ball or apologize for not doing so.

It's not only that the government isn't finding violations, it's data mining for an enemies list without the scintilla of probable cause.

Now be a good little lamb and be prepared to celebrate your "freedom" on July 4 as your friendly federal government prepares to force you to buy a "kill switch" with your new car for 2026 and beyond vehicles.

In addition to the NBC15 story, I suggest you watch this from British historian Mark Felton. It seems 2024 (and especially 2020) were previewed in the Reich in 1934.

Maybe you should research the common good. Freedom isn't ****ing free just saying

Mick Jagger last night at age 80 (81 in July)

They’re playing here next week. Cheapest get in is $81. Cheapest 5* is $332. I saw them years ago on what I thought was their farewell tour. They’re playing State Farm which is home to the Cardinals. That $81 seat would absolutely suck. You’d be so far away and end up watching it on the video board. $332 isn’t bad if you’ve never seen them and want to knock it off the 🪣 list.

looks like BEN is hooking up with the wrong people how long till they both are out?
Nothing against tattoos, but Ben has poor taste in his ink. That's as random and poorly thought out as it gets. His taste in workout partners is no better.

My main thought though is........what the hell is AJ Ferrari doing working out in the Iowa weight room? More poor (and desperate) judgement from the Coach Brands.

OT: So what does ‘tactical’ mean anyway?

lowest bidder (not always, sometimes it's "best value")...but items bought for the military must meet milspec (military specifications) so that bids are analyzed based on what the military needs in apples to apples comparisons.

It's a complicated yet necessary process.
Yes. I was generalizing. I didn't think a run down from the acquisition corps would go over well.

Coaching changes 2024

Beating the dead horse here the 100th time but what angered Cael also was he was seeing roster damage. The Evan Wick fiasco was awful, him getting into Cal Poly no issues made it worse. Sandy didn’t lift a finger to helps him. Sandy being completely behind the 8 ball for NIL also cost PSU Suriano. Both of those pieces at the time looked like it could tangibly cost them the 2022 national championship. Similarly RBY’s “I’m done” statement related to his frustrations with not being allowed to even participate in his own deals for NIL but luckily that was fixed in time.

Examining PSU recruit/player attrition rates by region

The hit rate is not that bad. O'Conner was from Canada a d wasnt even a franklin recruit. He might have been in Florida for a cup of coffee just like Drew Shelton. Is Shelton a florida recruit too?

Noah Cain was good. He had some injuries but he was a good player. Kevon Lee was decent but he was passed on the depth chart.

Jordan minor had a heart condition.

Yeah, the info is not meaningful without context. Cain was a stud who got derailed by injuries. Lee filled a gap after injuries decimated the room and was surpassed by better players. I think the inroads are very important. Time, resources, that conversation doesn't matter anymore because you have to recruit nationally to win. If we aren't doing it, we will be passed up by someone who will.

Coaching changes 2024

Christian Pyles gave his thoughts the other day on the Ok St coaching situation and Coleman Scott. I thought he hit the nail on the head that everyone assumed Coleman would have the job by now and the fact that it hasn’t been announced, makes it seem like they are looking outside the program. My first thought was maybe DT or JB and that maybe they were seeing if either were retiring to make a run at them before committing to Coleman.

DT would be huge for Oklahoma State. It wasn’t long ago the go to club for developing high level wrestlers was Strittmatter/Young guns. Now it’s DT/M2 and Askren/AWA.
Have Nolf and Nickal open N2. Problem solved. Recruits can take a scooter or walk to visit Penn State.

Coaching changes 2024

Would love to see DT's future with PSU and I'd hate to see him leave Happy Valley, (including the M2 pipeline) but this would be interesting and I'd like to see what he can develop there. IMO this would be the most impactful hire since Cael came to PSU. His loss to Brooks had more implications than I realized if this happens.

If DT is hired........any guesses what his staff will look like? Who does he bring with him? Does he keep any OSU staff for continuity and link to tradition, or totally clean house? I envision an entirely new, young, energetic, and talented staff (and PSU linked). Good for college wrestling even if it hurts PSU a bit.

New NCAA compensation model may cost power conference schools $300mill each

Pennsylvania is ranked #49 in state appropriation per in-state student. And PSU receives significantly less per in-state student than Pitt, Temple, etc. PSU’s tuition problem is a direct reflection of PA voters not valuing public higher education in the voting booth.
Ha ha. You funny guy.

OT: So what does ‘tactical’ mean anyway?

Those who have served will tell you that developed for the military usually doesn't mean best. It means bought by government at lowest bid.

Tactical is a term used for marketing to civilians who do not know what tactical means.
