I think you nailed it … I have no clue about the corruption angle but I have to believe TV is driving a bunch of decisions as well. They are adding gimmick sports left and right (sports that don’t have any legit historical leagues or competitions) while eliminating wresting weights.

Happy Valley Insider - Penn State wide receiver Malick Meiga enters transfer portal

After spending four years at Penn State, wide receiver Malick Meiga has entered the transfer portal.

The article says that's 4 WR's so far to the Portal so far - Cephus, Driver, KLS and Meiga.

At this point I'm going with and over under of 2 additional WR's leaving by June. With 1-2 coming to PSU from the Portal.

Meiga physically looked like an NFL WR, but he must not have been able to catch a football under pressure. Anyone have further insight into why he neve could get on the field?

thinking of some of the greatest sporting events, I would have loved to be on the 16th green at Augusta when Tiger dropped in his chip shot. The thrilla in Manilla would have been cool. More recently, Usain Bolt's 100m at the Rio Olympics too. Lastly, Secretariat at the Belmont.

As an athlete and WR talent, yes. But as a net positive to the team, no.

If he was all in as a team player it would be different. I don't believe we can underestimate how difficult it is to manage the mental health, team chemistry of a team in this NIL/Portal era of college football. If even the most talented player, and KLS is talented but not All B10 talented, is a cancer to the team's chemistry and unity then he may not even be a net positive. Franklin has had some mental lapses in strategy in the big games, but I do trust him to manage this part of leading a team through the current NIL/Portal issues.
