Why do we always start conference play on the road?

How about starting our season AT WISCONSIN in 2021? That's a nice one.

In the original iterations of the 2016 & 2017 B1G schedules - we were slated to start conference play at home both years (vs. Minnesota and vs. Indiana).

And then WE decided to re-work our schedule, moving road games at Michigan and at Iowa to September so we could have a mid-October bye week.

What difference does it make? Home/road you still have to play the games. Enjoy the season.

For the same reason PSU will play the traditionally toughest schools in a row, and Ohio State will open conference play at Indiana. It's all rigged.
