What matters most. Top 10-25 when you play or when season is done

which carries more weight!

They tend to converge toward end of season, but clearly the rankings at the beginning of season are pretty relevant. End of season rankings should always take precedent.
 
End of season rankings since early rankings can be way off and you get credit for beating a top 10 team, for example, that ends up losing 4 games and is out of the rankings by years end.
 
I watched the guy do the what happens to preseason ranked teams that were supposed to be in it at the end. Rinaldi had said they used a crystal ball which was funny but those teams didn't do well this year. So they should not count. The other thing is that some teams like Nebraska didn't play anyone good until November and then kept losing. That is why they were ranked so high at the start of November
