Dude...it was 2nd and 2 and you run Andre Robinson up the middle....against this defense...this isn't Purdue....watch the game...know the situation. Talk about ridiculous!
First off, it was 100% a late hit. Wasn't dirty but the player was way out of bounds. Bonehead play by Bowen. Plain and simple.
Second, if McSorley is running the zone read, he is fair game. Simply impossible for defensive player to see that ball was handed off since many times Trace pulls it back.

I don't think it was impossible in that situation. I do think Wisconsin plans to pound him every chance they get.

Wisconsin got away with a block in the back / hold on that punt - blatant.....beyond blatant about 10 yards directly in front of punt returner - no flag, go figure.
I really dislike Moorhead's game plan thus far. Wisconsin is biting on the run, so do we try play action on 2nd down? Of course not. Obvious failure on 2nd down puts us in 3rd and long. Here comes da blitz.
And if someone would have f'n blocked it would have worked. The players still have to execute. I know every play you call for your Pop Warner team, but it doesn't work that way in D-1.
Exactly. Let's bitch about real bad calls - not everything. If not, it's a Jack cried wolf situation. Someone even said hit on Barkley on 1st play was late. Uh, guy was already in air about 18 inches away from Barkley when he went down. What's he supposed to do? Stop in mid air?
We do not have enough beef on either line at this point.

There were 2 guys in the right place with no blocker. and both made horrible reads and plays
This is bad. Defensive and offensive lines need to get bigger and stronger. They're just being physically dominated at this point. It's really that simple. We're just not strong enough at this point. Maybe they get stronger with another year in the S&C program.
