I'm not much of a bourbon drinker (gin, vodka, tequila, rum and scotch whisky are my preferred boozes), but I just received a gift of a bottle of bourbon from a client, so I thought I would ask the AKB about it.
It's a 750 ml bottle of "Barrell Craft Spirits Bourbon." The label indicates that it was aged 15 years. Fifteen years is a decent but not extraordinary length of time for a scotch whisky to age. I have no idea whether aging times for bourbon are comparable. The label also lists the bottle number, as if to indicate it was part of a particular lot. Not sure if that makes a difference.
Anyone familiar with this particular bourbon? Should it be used for sipping, mixed drinks, or what?
