So, two guys don't play the game all year long, then decide to jump into the fray, and jump right up onto the podium. Oh, and not just anywhere on the podium, but Michlion goes straight to the top and slushhead goes to third. Good thing they weren't playing all year long.

Potterlion snuck in between those guys, and Eastern HWT follows up a solid B1G showing to finish fourth. Jimbokropf, 1AA and long-time season leader funkisfun take the 5-7 spots and lionmd takes the lowest spot on the podium in eighth. NovaLion, who took off most of the dual season, barely misses the podium, just four points back.

You'll notice a different column called Board Posts this time, as funk and lionmd tied, so number of board posts becomes the tiebreaker. lionmd, get posting.

And, now, the moment everyone has been working for and waiting for all year long, well, aside from the national championship, the unveiling of the KYPSW Season Champion. It has been a grind. Seventy-two people have taken part, but only a little more than half have played every dual, plus the B1G and NCAA.

Without further ado, here is your podium for the full season of KYPSW. Chromehill comes in 8th, followed by longtime player Acacia at 7th. Sixth place goes to funkisfun, who led the regular season most of the way through. Fifth place is the hard rocker, ZepGraffiti. PSUflyfisher takes the fourth spot. Tom1973, from the 247 board takes the bronze medal. Lionmd, just one point shy of winning takes the silver. And this year's season champion is Eastern HWT!

One final award to be given out is a fan favorite, even if it's not a favorite of the person that wins it. This award is known as the Minkel Award, and it goes to the lowest-scoring participant who played all of the duals, the B1G and the NCAA. It is, of course, named after Tom Minkel, who had a less than illustrious career as a Michigan State's head coach. The winner of this year's Minkel Award goes to Justin6 over on the 247 board. Don't worry, Justin, you have seven months to recover, lift and come back stronger than ever.

Thanks for playing, and we'll see everyone next year!

Sir Yoder. I commend your effort and dedication with KSPSW! This little competition is so engaging and it's a ton of fun. Since I've been an All-American in the past, I decided to take it easy on folks this year.
Seriously though, I hope you continue to keep this going next year and into the future. Many thanks to you!!!

National Champions! PSU! That's what we do!

Thank you. I've spent far too much time building the spreadsheet out to give it up now. And, even yesterday, I noticed some things that I want to improve, so KYPSW isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Thanks so much DW. I'm looking forward to next year's KYPSW. Following PSU wrestling is one of my few diversions and your (and other's) work on KYPSW is greatly appreciated. Also, thanks to all the participants who make this the best contest there is.

pawrestlersintn, thanks a bunch for running this contest. It's a ton of fun, and appears to be a ton of work. Really enjoyed it. You da man.

I'll add my thanks. I know it is a lot of work and it is much appreciated so I owe you a beer or two. Add that to my tab as I already owe you a couple. :D

Thankyou for putting this together...very fun and makes me accountable to knowing the opponent. Quick questions:
1. How does the spreadsheet NCAA have 780 picks or ao many points awarded?

2. How did the winner have about 25 more picks that most of the others. I know i started late but did pretty much everyone else also start late. Or did he word things more specific each match as to include. Possible chances of forfeits, other wrestlers wrestling, inj derfaults.....just asking to help me for next year.....hoping you do this again....THANK YOU!!!!

A "Pick" is actually points for correct picks, not a pick. Here's how total possible scoring works out:

Duals: Each dual is worth 30 points max. 20 for "picks," 10 for decision types. 14 duals, so dual season was worth 420 max, 280 for picks, 140 for decision types.
B1G: 30 for picks, 4 for bonus points, 10 bouts. 340 max possible.
Natties: 90 for picks, 10 for bonus, 9 wrestlers. 900 possible points
