Zach Elam into the finals at 97kg. Like Brooks last year, he went from alternate to finalist. Mizzou has a good one.

Abasov was DQed after the short left he threw at Aaron. So we now know Aaron can take eye pokes, headbuts and left hooks.

Aaron is now ready for the dual with Rutgers. The follow up is if Abasov going to leave Azerbaijan for Jersey?

I was impressed with Aaron's focus, he never lost his cool.

Good luck to AB and Berge, and the rest of the USA team. Such a cool experience for all involved. Cant believe fix lost?! What about the indian kid gave him trouble?

In order of importance: Horsepower, pace, and favorable officiating.

4 of 5 of the group two guys win their first round matches, Warner loses to AZE on criteria, 6-6.

Berge still hasn't gone but should be up soon.

Gable's height is a bit of a concern. That guy's shoulders came up to Steveson's hair, and the extra length gave him the leverage he needed.

Obviously Berge and Fix aren't in the finals, so it should read Medal matches or something. But times are probably accurate.

He tells us a lot of things.

I’ve heard there’s a message board where they’ve been counting down the weeks since he promised to tell us a particular thing we desperately need to hear. He might tell us many things. Apparently we want more.

Seriously, here’s hoping Mike C gets around to asking him what he thinks of his BWI status as Most Important Media Voice Anywhere Ever.

65Kg final was Freestyle at its best. Too bad it was Russia vs. Iran, but still. Russian scores w/ 0:10 to win 8-7, like the tenth lead change of the bout.

Berge up on Mat B next.
