Harbaugh reinstates Grant Perry, and more...

i read most of Deinhart's 5 things to know, and that did not sound very good. Would be great if Michigan struggled this year having to replace all those starters. Kind of season where a key injury or two to a position with little depth could really put them behind. Would love to see nothing better than a 8-4 Michigan season and Michigan fans calling for Harbaugh's replacement.

We'll see early as the open with Florida. The Michigan kids did get PT last year. They will be ready for the white out!

Not impressed with Florida, either.... QB is the transfer from ND.

What I took out of it was alot of 'potential', which should be expected with Harbaugh's and even Hoke's recruits. However, recently the potential has not panned out on the OL, even though it has on the DL. So just like many teams that recruit well, we can expect some good and bad surprises. It doesn't sound like their pass game will be polished and deep. I also noticed no mention of the PA safety we recruited lightly.

HERE IS AN ARTICLE detailing the allegations against Perry and Michigan reinstating him despite his new status as a convicted FELON involving a "Violent Crime Against Women". It is unreal that Michigan is doing this despite the Title IX Federal Investigation that ensued after the Gibbons/Lewan "Rape Cover-up" by Michigan as detailed in the following articles:

Here are some excerpts regarding Perry's actions that generated his Felony conviction:

Manuel's ruling [i.e., Perry's reinstatement - Manuel is the Michigan AD] came one week after Perry was sentenced to 12 months probation and 60 hours of community service stemming from an October assault in East Lansing.

According to police and court documents, Perry was accused of grabbing a woman by the groin and buttocks outside a bar, then fleeing when officers arrived.

He took a plea deal in June, one that saw two counts of fourth-degree sexual misconduct dropped in exchange for misdemeanor assault and battery and felony resisting arrest.

And these freaks in the B1G want to talk about "bad culture" when they are putting a clear menace back on campus in regards to "Violent Crime Against Women" and putting the female student-body "at-risk" via the prioritization of winning football games? Especially disgusting coming off the back of the Michigan cover-up of Gibbons and Lewan's crimes including Rape and Threatened Rape including a Federal Title IX Civil Rights Investigation of same as detailed above! Hypocrisy does not even begin to describe the hypocrites and immoral scumbags on the face of the planet than those in the B1G and it's "traditional power-base" that control the conference. All families with daughters attending Michigan should be truly outraged by Michigan, its President, Athletic Director and their Joke of human-being Coach acting like this is an "unfortunate incident" rather than a clear and DISGUSTING SEXUALLY-MOTIVATED UNWANTED VIOLENT ASSAULT upon an innocent young women! The lack of concern being exhibited here by Michigan in the name of winning football games is beyond disturbing especially coming on the heels of Michigan's cover-up of RAPE to win football games in regards to the Gibbons/Lewan situation!

It's Michigan.... what did you expect.

actually Michigan is one of the schools who spews foam around the Title IX activist culture. i would expect them to crucify any man even remotely accused of anything deemed improper activity toward a woman. not a good place to be a man.

I'm watching the BTN Live camp from Michigan and they are interviewing Harbaugh now...there is honestly something 'off' with him. He seems like he has some kind of social disorder or maybe even a mild case of aspergers.

Unless of course you can help them win football games on a football field like Gibbons, Lewan and Perry..... You're notion that Michigan "crucified" Gibbons, Lewan and now Perry is beyond laughable.

I think in all honesty that Harbaugh may indeed have some degree of Asperger's. Even though he's weird, there are a lot of highly functional individuals with that condition, and he may well be one of them.

Or, he may just be a conventional weirdo.

THIS ARTICLE as to Harbaugh's earlier actions this summer in reinstating Perry to the team so he could practice are quite telling indeed as to the hypocrites at the University of Michigan - this writer must own a crystal ball given his uncanny ability to predict the utterly embarrassing, and completely misleading, fashion in which Michigan would ultimately handle this situation.

Michigan Football: Grant Perry Should Not Be Back With Wolverines

by Tyler Fenwick2 months ago
When Grant Perry was indefinitely suspected from Michigan football, there was a clear time set for a possible return. That has been ignored.

To understand the absurdity of wide receiver Grant Perry being allowed to make a return to the Michigan football program recently after being indefinitely suspended in December, we have to go back to October.

RELATED STORY: Harbaugh's toughest judgement will come this season

During the Wolverines’ bye week, Perry was waiting in line outside an East Lansing bar just after midnight when he was accused of grabbing a woman by the groin and buttocks. According to a spokesman for the East Lansing Police Department, police arrived on the scene and tried to grab Perry. They had to chase him, and in the “midst of the fracas,” one of the officers suffered a “minor” hand injury.

Citing “disciplinary reasons,” Perry was suspended by Jim Harbaugh for the next two games.

Then, after learning that charges would be filed, Perry was “immediately and indefinitely suspended from all team activities until the legal process is completed,” associate athletic director Dave Ablaut said in a statement.

He was charged with two misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, a felony for resisting or avoiding arrest, and a misdemeanor for being a minor in possession of alcohol (Perry was 19 at the time).

MORE FROM GBMWOLVERINE
So you can imagine my surprise when Harbaugh told reporters that Perry is “back working out with the team.”

“Grant Perry is an outstanding football player,” Harbaugh added.

But the legal process isn’t completed, which makes Perry’s return to the program fly directly in the face of the statement that said he would be suspended “until the legal process is completed.” So what gives?

There have been multiple delays in the legal process. The most recent came last month, when Perry’s original trial date of May 15 was pushed back. There wasn’t a date set immediately, but we now know that he is scheduled to appear in Ingham County Circuit Court on July 17.

If we’re to take Michigan’s indefinite suspension at face value, July 17 should be the earliest date which Perry is allowed to return to the program, and that’s without any regard to the outcome of the trial.

That Perry’s early reinstatement hasn’t raised a few more eyebrows is a little concerning to me. Is it because Perry is returning as the Wolverines’ leading receiver from last season? Or is it because we’ve simply stopped even pretending to care about these things? To do either—both are ultimately a willingness to look the other way—seems very disingenuous.

I’m not comfortable just letting this one slip by, so I won’t. I would be even less comfortable cheering this announcement.

Looking ahead to that July 17 trial date, if it doesn’t get delayed again, Michigan is running the risk of being embarrassed by an unfavorable outcome. If Perry faces hefty enough legal consequences, Michigan would be pressured to pursue at least another suspension, if not a complete dismissal. That would also solidify his recent reinstatement as a premature move, something that the program (especially Harbaugh) would likely be pressed on.

Perry having his suspension lifted before the legal process has had a chance to play out is a blatant contradiction to what was said back in December, and aside from that, it’s simply not a smart thing to do.

I'm watching the BTN Live camp from Michigan and they are interviewing Harbaugh now...there is honestly something 'off' with him. He seems like he has some kind of social disorder or maybe even a mild case of aspergers.

Here's one symptom of Asperger...
"a person with AS may engage in a one-sided, long-winded speech about a favorite topic, while misunderstanding or not recognizing the listener's feelings or reactions, such as a wish to change the topic of talk or end the interaction..."

That doesn't explain Harbaugh showing up to the Big Ten Media Day looking like Bo Schembechler at a practice. The only thing missing was a whistle. His neurosis runs deep. Something recruits' parents should beware of.

This article summarizing the University of Michigan's Statement yesterday is pretty comical:

So let me get this straight, Perry was "reinstated" because he plead guilty to a Felony and two other charges related to a Violent Assault upon a young woman? Huh?

"We conducted an athletic department and institutional review following the conclusion of the legal process," Manuel said. "Based on that review, we have determined that Grant is reinstated to full participation with the football team."

Talk about "word salad" and bull$hit "double-talk"! Oh btw, add "omniscience" to Harbaugh's superhuman capabilities given that Harbaugh reinstated Perry to the Football team way back on June 2, 2017 LOL!:

The Michigan junior wide receiver is back working with the team and will be a participant when the Wolverines open fall camp later this summer, head coach Jim Harbaugh said Friday at a satellite camp in Ohio.

"He's back working out with the team," Harbaugh said.

Perry's legal case, the initial reason for his suspension, remains unresolved.

Yep, that Jimmah, he's incredible.....add omniscience to his amazing superhuman abilities. The extreme word salad and absurd double-talk of the moral-hypocrites running Michigan sure does come in handy.....

Grant Perry back with the Wolverines

Jim Harbaugh confirms that embattled wide receiver Grant Perry is back practicing with the team.

Good stuff, amazing how the UMich Athletic Director claimed that he was "reinstated" this past Friday, 8/11/2017, based on a UMich Athletic Department Investigation of the matter! So let me get this straight, the UMich Athletic Department conducted an "internal investigation and review" of the legal proceedings regarding his involvement in this incident....and based on the fact that he was "guilty as charged" of a Felony Count and multiple other counts including Underage Drinking and Assault in relation to the criminal actions he was accused of in Oct 2016.....and will serve 12 Months Probation reporting to a Probation Officer.....the UMich Athletic Department decided that these convictions vindicated him and that he should be reinstated to the Football Team (something that Harbaugh already said he was way back on June 2, 2017 almost a month and one-half ago) with no further penalties or sanctions? Huh? Whaaaaaaaa?

What a bunch of laughable hypocrites these turds are - talk about a "culture of football".....

Here is another article published by NBC Sports on August 5, 2017 (i.e., a week before the UMich Athletic Department announced the findings & conclusions of their Internal Investigation into this affair this past Friday, 8/11/2017) - hit the following link:

So let me get this straight, the UMich Athletic Department spent a week "internally investigating" a criminal case in which Perry was found guilty of multiple counts including a Felony, but announced on this past Friday that the findings, results and conclusions of their "internal investigation" of the matter and the criminal proceedings led them to their decision to "reinstate" Perry on the football team (which Harbaugh had already done on June 2, 2017) and that the player would face no further sanctions from the University because he was found guilty? Huh? Say what?

I believe many schools (including PSU) kick you out of school if you are convicted of a felony -- not at UMich apparently if you can help them win football games.....they use Felony Convictions as "vindication", justification and basis to reinstate you to the Football Team with no sanction whatsoever! Unreal.

I was able to copy and paste the Victim's words below:

Where is Mush-Mouf and his wife with all their concern for the victim here? More hypocrisy from the "traditional b1g" types - go figure. Beyond sad and disgraceful.

So anything from Delany or Lou Anna Simon regarding this or MSU?????

DHCNXuuXkAA6tMu.png

Weren't the B1G hypocrites holding themselves up as the Nation's leaders in "Victim Advocacy"? How about the NCAA's recent series of commercials touting the wonderful job the NCAA does in "protecting our children"? Again, the silence from these hypocrites regarding UMich's callous treatment of this Victim for the sake of winning football games is quite deafening.

We are doomed. Forfeit the game now. Surely God favors OSU and UM. Oh wait! It is the B1G game officials who favor them. Is their a best nose picker criteria for coach of the year? Only if he eats it.

A 3 game suspension sounds pretty appropriate for touching a girls butt in line at a bar. I'd love hear reasons why it's not enough.

Read her statement. That's not what happened.
Wait now you guys believe a victims statement? I constantly see you guys talking about how a bunch of csa victims lied about Jerry and Joe. Actually from the police report that's exactly what happened and he was suspended 3 games already including winter activities and spring practice. The felony was him running from the cops because he had a fake ID.

Hmmm. Franklin dealt with a similar case a little differently.

Penn State has parted ways with tight end Brent Wilkerson.

The senior had been suspended indefinitely for over a month after he was charged in March with indecent assault and harassment in Centre County in connection to a February incident in the apartment complex where he and a female victim both lived.

Now, his Nittany Lions' career is over

"Brent Wilkerson is no longer a member of the Penn State football team due to a violation of team rules," read a statement released by the program.

"We appreciate Brent's contributions to the program and wish him success in the future."
