And OU jumps PSU

You have to tell the whole story. We were #1 going into that week. Why would that have been the case if the voters were against us? But Nebraska beat #2 Colorado that same week and leapfrogged us.
regardless, our win was more impressive

SOS so far this season (remember we haven't play Ohio State, Michigan or Maryland yet)

Oklahoma 30
Florida State 47
Ohio State 54
Georgia 84
Penn State 110
Michigan 111

It's not hard to figure out why the voters don't respect what we've done
It also points to how Iowa and WVU (regardless of what people want to pretend) have zero value
Also, remember, we'll drop below Michigan next week by playing UMass so when Oregon or Washington jump us expect that.

PSU can only win the games they play. Everything will work itself out if they do what they're capable of doing. We all know this poll means little.

I think all the ohio voters did that exact thing
Going into OSU (and Colorado/Nebraska), it was…
1<1Penn State (19)Big Ten6-01486DNP
2<2Colorado (16)Big 87-01482
3<3Nebraska (24)Big 88-01461

Coming out, it was…
1<3Nebraska (33)Big 89-01520W 24-7 H #2 Colorado
2<1Penn State (28)Big Ten7-01514W 63-14 H #21 Ohio State

We picked up 9 first place votes, and 28 total points. But Nebraska consolidated a lot of those first place votes that were going to Colorado to pass us (and the gap between 1st and 2nd was very tight both weeks).

Two things can be true simultaneously.
1. Polls don’t matter all that much at this point. We control our own destiny so just win and we’ll be fine.
2. It’s a joke that Oklahoma jumped SEVEN spots and leapt over us on the basis of that one win.

The angst is amazing.

When we beat undefeated OSU and undefeated Michigan…..we will be #2 no matter what anyone else does. No one else will have wins over #3 and #2.

Maybe #1 if GA falters

Just win and quit worrying.
