Now disabled? Some viruses attack ad-blockers. I'd run Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware right away. What is the best ad blocker to use? I had one but it is now disabled and I do not know how that happened. Thanks

https://www.malwarebytes.com/ Upper right on your screen you'll find a "Free Download" box.
https://www.superantispyware.com/ Lower third of your screen you'll find the free download box.
Don't let either one trick you into subscribing. Run SuperAntiSpyware first.
I use "ublock origin". Google it up for the browser that you would like to install it on and follow the instructions.

Pretty sure it doesn't block ad's MAC or PC, Windows or MacOS. Browsers don't block ads by default.I just turn my Apple on , it takes care of the rest
Hmm you run a Mac?Pretty sure it doesn't block ad's MAC or PC, Windows or MacOS. Browsers don't block ads by default.
uBlock Origin is the new 'hot kid' on the block, as Adblock Plus has been allowing certain "google" ads and was later accused of taking $ from Google. You have to go in and disable the Allow certain Ads 'feature' manually, and unsubscribe from their default block list to be sure nothing is getting through.
As others have stated, if your Adblocker is disabled, you probably visited a site that disabled it. Many news sites now a days detect ad-blockers and prompt you to disable them for access.
It could be something you did and didn't realize, or worse, as others have alluded to, you could have malware on your computer. If its as simple as re-enabling what you have, great, but I would run a scan as others have suggested just to have 100% peace of mind.
I have only used iOS only (iPad). Get ads all the time, wish I could block em.Hmm you run a Mac?
I must be doing something wrong. I don’t run anything on Safari, and don’t get ads. So maybe I should changeI have only used iOS only (iPad). Get ads all the time, wish I could block em.
I have several family members who have Macbook laptops and they install Chrome and use adblockers over Safari.
I recommend premium, it scans live the best I ever used for over 25 years. Well worth 24 dollarsMalwarebytes is an awesome program. To date, it's the only "freemium" computer program I ended up buying.
