BTW, Carter's match is a great example of how different college is from HS.
Welsh was a volume scorer in HS. High pace, very good technique, but also he overpowered a lot of guys.
This year everybody was stronger, or at least strong enough to neutralize his power -- including One-Legged Carter. And Welsh wrestled this entire tournament like Lewan: 4-2, 4-1 SV, 4-1 SV, 4-1 SV, 0-2.
It really makes you appreciate how good some of our true freshmen have been -- like Nico, Zain, Mark, Levi, etc., ... that they can wrestle at a high level and put up at least moderate scores.

Man this is brutal, since Thursday I’ve been listening to Byers, so for the finals I go with the ESPN broadcast (for the guys at the firehouse). These guys just don’t shut up. Talking just to talk. Very little play by play, stories of when they wrestled. Terrible…

Feldman wrestled Kerk the same way. Ryan doesn't seem to know that coaching your wrestlers not to lose doesn't make them better.
