It’s too bad that Manning is such an unlikable whiner, because I really like a lot of Husker wrestlers. I have been pulling for Robb and Lovett when they aren’t wrestling our guys
It's crazy that they robbed Crookham the way they did, Fix ducking him cost him a spot in the finals.
The "they" is Santoro for not getting Crookham a better schedule, so that he would've won Quality Wins over Fix regardless.
I think there are several ways to change the seeding criteria to make it fairer, which would likely have bumped Crookham to the 1 seed -- but these were the rules everyone agreed to when Lehigh set its schedule.
On top of that, I’m pretty sure that Fix was dealing with an injury for a while this season. Neither Santoro nor Smith had any control with that situation.
That’s a bad stall call. Kasak is shooting as much or more than Watters and not backing up at all. Calling for the sake of making a call.

Losing in 1st round and coming all the way back to take 3rd doesn’t happen often. I remember Telford doing it in 2015 I believe. Who are the historians to tell us how many times it has been done?
3rd place for Kasak. What a run! Loses his first match Thursday morning and then reels off seven straight wins - over the 23, 9, 17, 3, 11, 1 and 5 seeds. With bonus points in five of the seven matches.
Can we all agree that it's not normal to lose to the #26 seed in the first round and then beat the #1, #3 and #5 seeds to get 3rd?

155.5 now. Three champs is plus 12 = 167.5, three bonus in three wins does it.
I believe that gives Kasak 19 points for the Tourney, no? The kid is nails!
Technically yes. A finals win = 4 pts. So theoretically we could still get the record with 3 wins + 2 pins, or 3 wins all by TF, or 2 MDs + 1 pin, etc.
The chances of that happening are IMO much lower than the 4th title.

Cael felt it was more important for a true freshman to get some extra experience, so they agreed he should wrestle on the backside of the brackets. 😁
Berge hasn't yet won his 3rd place match. Currently trailing Munoz. But he did make it to the consi finals, heckuva accomplishment.
Hawk fan here! I just loved that interview with Kasack. What a great kid with an incredible message and story. Every young person should be mandated to watch and listen to that interview.

I remember one year (2012?), Cam Tessari and Donnie Vinson both lost in the first round and met each other in the 3rd place match
