I think individuals' predelictions lead to self-creation of drama. Although it may be something to which you've grown accustomed, I don't believe that is part of NLWC culture. More likely all have bought into 'iron sharpens iron' and 'you've got to beat the best to be the best'. Also more likely, as RBY recently intimated, joy will be found in contributing to a brother's success.

Since the trials are running all 3 styles on all 4 mats, it would be nice if they had a bout board so we can follow along. Unless they do and I'm missing something. Besides that, from what I've seen I think the tournament has been run quite well so far.
