All of that is acceptable if you are the #4 recruiter nationally. Those 5 stars and high end 4s don't come to a crummy crime ridden town in the cold Midwest from California, Florida, Nevada, and Texas.

It’s also hard to believe that a person who showed such disregard for decency and morality in his personal life wasn’t doing the same thing professionally. That is the anvil that is waiting to drop in the program. Once they link his willingness to completely disregard rules in regards to his recruiting it will not be just Zach Smith and Urban Meyer that will be in trouble but the whole OSU football program.
That is undeniable. Great tradition to rely upon. Which makes it odd that they would rely upon such a shady figure to do the recruiting when he doesn’t seem to be that great at actually coaching. Sometimes it’s not the salesman, but sometimes it is the bagmen the salesman is associated with.

15 of the 19 recruits that Zach Smith signed in the last 3 classes were from about half way across the country or beyond away from Columbus. The 4 Ohio recruits he signed were mostly among the lowest ranked recruits he signed. We are talking elite prospects almost exclusively from no where near Columbus. Look at other recruiters and you do not find such a skewed amount of recruits from very far away who are almost all 5 and super high 4 stars while the very small number of natural recruiting area kids he signed are mostly low rated. Pretty tell tale sign that something very odd is occurring.
