Lotsa good news in there. Glad to see Berge at 149, Manville at 174 and NN at 285. Also, glad to hear him say Teasdale is planning on wrestling. Maybe a little unclear as to what is going on, but sounds like it might be something not wrestling-related.

Squad is so deep and balanced even with the 125 twins not listed. Nice depth chart. The room is more difficult than the duals and the tournaments! Throw in the NLWC and incredible talent at the Lorenzo Building. Who is Cenzo’s “back-up?

A lot of people in Southern California are hoping the fires don't take their homes but glad they bought insurance
At 9.9 schollies, not going to have blue chip insurance at every weight class. Truth is, this year, the team could probably lose one of the hammers and still win NCAAs. Not that we want to lose a hammer.

Not sure where you saw Teasdale is wrestling since Keystone doesn’t allow redshirts. If he does then Schnupp isn’t our starter and wouldn’t have been last week.

The planning on wrestling wasn't referring to keystone classic, it was referenced in the OP article. Most likely inferring that Teasdale is planning on wrestling this season

Ah. My bad then. Looked as if the comment was attached to the article. And...is there a redshirt that isn’t planning on wrestling??

Here is the statement from Sanderson:
"I mean Teasdale's planning on wrestling, Teske wants to wrestle. We have a lot of great options there that we're excited about it. And I'm just saying in general. Those guys are planning on wrestling this year but still we want to be patient and let things play out and that's what we're going to do. We've done it before and we'll do it again."

Just typical coach-speak. As you suggest, it really doesn't say much of anything.

Disagree. Yes, it is "coach-speak", but not saying anything about Teasdale would leave the fanbase to debate things like "is he even on the team?", etc., as there's enough misinformation out there that some will head in that direction. Can't say the young man doesn't have some things to get straightened out, and no one really knows how it will play out this early.

^^^^^this^^^^ Cael would not have mentioned him by name if the "that ship has sailed" statements of the world were meant to indicate that Gavin was no longer part of the big picture at PSU. It is possible that a big cut in conjunction with academic work load would be too much for a young man to take on along with the pressure of competing in the BIG as a true freshman. I'm glad Cael doesn't vocalize every internal issue going on with his team.

133, 184, and 285 don’t look very strong, but at least 149 has some guys.
Feel like posting some of the names for those registered? I looked too, and agree with your weight class assessment above...just thought some here would like to see names. Can't myself right now, or I would. Only disclaimer is that things change quickly, and some that are registered early don't go. Thanks, in advance...

Not sure who will actually be wrestling, but wrestlestat has a nice feature for giving us a general idea. Someone may have posted it previously.

Wow.... could we sweep?
The Richards kid from VMI at 174 is a local kid to the Richmond, Va area (Matoaca HS). Great kid and one of those categorized with that 'farmer strength' (although not a farmer). Watched him a lot in HS (state champ prior to the 7 divisions) and it was fun watching his opponents come off of the mat with the 'what was that' look in their eye.

Damn, that's a lot of Finesilver. For there to be four of them in college at the same time, I have to assume they are either cousins or there are twins involved. If they are all brothers and none are twins, that was one busy mom and dad!

The Finesilver's are a cool story. Smart as a whip, two sets of twins, manning weights (last year) from 133 to 165, and all four made the National Tourney in 2018. Can't think of anything remotely close.
