Shades of things to come. Soon you will have to be vaccinated to fly, go to a movie theater, attend a football game, maybe even go to a bar or restaurant. I don't know if this is right or wrong, but that is the way it will be.
Students have to have vaccines (teachers too) to attend elementary school. Adults shouldn’t be any different.Next question: what about employees?

This is true. That was an issue every August where I worked.Schools have always had vaccination requirements of students without the areas you mentioned doing the same. Why is this different?

Excellent point. I think this is a great thing. We need to get back to freaking normal because what we have been living in the last year is almost inhumane although completely necessary.Schools have always had vaccination requirements of students without the areas you mentioned doing the same. It appears they are making exceptions for legitimate medical or religious reasons, but hopefully not for "I don't want to".While everyone thinks this is the way it should be, keep in mind there are people who do not get vaccines for medical reasons such as GBS (Guillian-Barre Syndrome). I have personal experience with this with my mother and we have been told by our doctor to not get flu shots and my children have a medical exception for this reason as well. That being said, we have have been told to avoid the Covid vaccine for this same reason since we don’t fall into category that’s at risk.
My issue is now because of requirements like this my family and I will may run into issues. Is it fair? No...I hope that after a year or so this will settle down with the vaccines that are rolled out and basic heard immunity.
“While researchers have not yet determined the exact cause of Guillain-Barre Syndrome and its variants, medical science and federal law both now recognize certain vaccinations as potential triggers for GBS. Each year, numerous patients are diagnosed with vaccine-related GBS. These individuals often incur substantial losses as a result of their symptoms and treatment .”

IIRC, to date the only virus to exhibit vaccine escape has been the flu .They don't require flu shots and this is similar. Truly not a vaccine. Doesn't prevent you from spreading Covid and they don't know how long the vaccine is good for. One place I read said it may only be good for 3 months....they have no idea.

Tell your coworkers that until politicians change tort law in the US, employers are forced into doing things like possibly mandating vaccines. It’s not the ‘evil employer,’ it is the evil predatory law firms. What if I don’t want to put something in my body that was rushed and not sure of long term effects? People like us don’t get a say?
my wife just had a blood clot, the first question she was asked is if she got a certain vaccine that has been found to cause them. there have been numerous false positive tests for cancer because people lymph nodes are swollen after receiving the vaccine, they are freaking out. No worries, Covid is more serious than cancer.
And I don’t want to hear any political jargon, people on both sides of that aisle are scared, though for different reasons. I work with many who are frightened that they soon may be forced to get it by their employer, and they are both right and far lefts.
Are they union members? If so, it might be a collective bargaining issue.Next question: what about employees?

The Amish say hi.There are no legitimate religious reasons.
Thanks for posting. I read this a while back as well. This is what stands out:
“One case of GBS was reported in a vaccinated participant in the Johnson & Johnson Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine clinical trial”
Again, I’m not trying to be the “Vaccines are bad” guy. My kids and I are vaccinated with the standards. We just avoid the Flu (and now Covid). My mother’s quality of life has been greatly diminished the past 15 years from GBS and seeing that just sheds a different light and awareness. I wouldn’t wish what she’s going through on anyone and knowing it could have been avoided is what’s most heartbreaking. I know this isn’t common but being told that it could be a genetic issue makes my decision simple. I just hope my family and I aren’t punished over something I can’t control.
We have discussed this with our Doctor and he told us just to wait and see how everything plays out with covid vaccine papers before we get too worked up. Taking his advice and seeing how things play out.

You need to learn how to translate media fear porn. Maybe develop a new algorithm for such and sell it to Google translate. They don't require flu shots and this is similar. Truly not a vaccine. Um, they kind of are, that’s the point. So don’t take it. Nobody is forcing anyone to take it. If a kid doesn’t want it, he has the right to go to another school.
Um, they kind of are, that’s the point.
No they aren’t. Are they also forcing the kids to go to Rutgers? No.
You can’t do anything unless you get a vaccine....but we’re not making you get it. Give me a break....have an independent thought for once in your life.No they aren’t. Are they also forcing the kids to go to Rutgers? No.

Your statement about COVID vaccines not preventing you from spreading it is false. There have been no reputable medical studies that have shown this.
From what I understand Rutgers is not requiring the Faculty or Staff to be vaccinated which seems stupid given the fact that I would guess they are in a mcuh higher risk group than the students but maybe the plan on using the students vaccinations as protection which again would be stupid.
