Rutgers is priceless for PSU. A free win cupcake every year that can't be construed as an embarrassing scheduling choice. A regular trip to dominate a game in style in what is arguably PSUs most important recruiting territory moving forward. Significantly increased positive publicity and TV time in the major east coast markets. People will argue this, but Rutgers and Maryland into the B1G have been and will continue to be enormously positive for PSU. The big ten had previously been somewhat of an afterthought in these regions for casual fans which was very detrimental to the program. Kids in Jersey now have to regularly experience Penn State and its fanatical fanbase invading your territory and humiliating your local squad. Sorry mom and dad I know you're Rutgers alums and all but...bye. Don't worry I still love you I'll get you tickets to the two Rutgers games.
