-- Franklin mentioned Nick Cross as a guy that they recruited in the past and spoke about his past relationships with guys on the staff at UMD.

-- Roberson was limited last week, hence why C.Vellieux was getting second team snaps.

"Looking at the team there is obviously some ways we have to find a way to win these tough games and that's through a lot of different things. There was enough last week in that game for us to build on."

-- Franklin said his team will practice today (Election Day), mentioned some have voted with absentee ballots, others voted early this AM.

"There's always time for it" on if there is time to teach life lessons when the team faces adversity.

Adds that everyone needs to learn from it, including coaches and players in meeting rooms. Says he wants to "have a lot of discussions. Challenge yourself. Challenge each other."

Says he wants every experience to be done in the name of improving and correcting the next time things are done, even while the team was winning.

Franklin again says that the way his team battled and played physically was a significant difference between the games against Illinois and Ohio State.

On filling in for Mustipher, Franklin says that Tangelo, Coziah Izzard and D'von Ellies were more ready to step into larger roles against Ohio State than they were against Iowa and Illinois.

Franklin says he's done some studies about how to build up the team with regards to when the team starts to become a little more serious. Says he wants the team locked in, but still loose and talking with one another for Friday dinner and even into Saturday's team breakfast, but once the ride over to the stadium starts everyone should be locked in with a singular focus. Talks about the importance of a consistent process.

On Tagovailoa: "He's a really talented guy. He can make plays with his arm but is also really talented with his feet and can extend plays and make plays."

Says Maryland has faced some similar issues to PSU with injuries, losing two of their top three WRs.

On delayed return from OSU (fog kept Penn State from getting into Harrisburg until early Saturday morning before taking buses back).

"What we did is push everything back that Sunday. Some people were able to get some sleep on the plane or on the buses. We pushed everything back so that people were able to get a few hours of sleep."

"It starts with getting some push and creating holes" on creating explosive runs. Says that backs also need to run with more physicality and a lower pad level in addition to being able to make guys miss.

I just hope they don't play up (or down) to the perceived level of their opponents.
