U17/U20 Nationals 4/24-28 in Las Vegas

So maybe you all should be a little nicer to JB. This clearly was an olive branch to regain the favor of the PSU faithful...

Since you didn’t use the sarcasm font or emojis ….

JB doesn’t do olive branches in wrestling. Least of all to the PSU faithful.

I do not understand the seeds at all? At 74kg Sealey is the 4 seed with Zach Hanson, Vince Bouzakis, and LaDarion Lockett 1, 2, and 3. How are they seeded abouve a u17 world champ? Lockett is a U17 world champ as well but Sealey has beaten him head to head. Lots of other ones don’t make sense to me either. I do like Lilledahl’s path a ton though. Both Jax and Knox are on the opposite side as well as Desmond, Kilkeary, max Gallagher, Kael Lauridsen, Adrian Meza, Seth Mendoza, and Ayden Smith. That bottom half is STACKED

Pierson Manville gets the 1 at 65kg above Bassett, Aden Valencia, Sergio Lemley, Zepeda, etc. I don’t understand this one either. Bassett and Valencia have much better freestyle results. Zepeda beat Bassett this past year. Manville is good but I don’t know how his results get him the 1 seed

Davis looking gassed. Now taking injury time. Tougher match than I thought. Davis is definitely better in folk. His style just fits better in folk

Davis definitely hurt. Not looking good. I wonder if he continues even if he wins. He’s not moving well at all

Davis hangs on and wins 12-11. I don’t think he’s going to continue though. He could barely move out there. Sucks to see!

I mean, he’s a Fargo champ too. Think this is more a matter of being up a weight and then getting hurt. Looked like the much smaller of the two.

Back at it

Christolin tries for a shot, Duke counters for a TD, 5-0
2-min left

Sure but I didn’t think he looked great before he got hurt. The guy he was wrestling he should have just ran through but it was 12-6 before he got hurt. Not saying he’s not a good freestyler just that his style is better for folk. He’s great off the bottom and is pretty damn good on top

Zach Hanson vs Cam Steed is a good early round matchup. Hanson is the 1 seed and at Stanford. Steed was injured this year at Mizzou but they are really high on him
You are a true Gem on this board. Not only for results but also for telling us who some of these kids are and their accomplishments. Shout out to El Jefe as well. He's the same way. Thanks to you both.

Hutching tapping at the head, Sealey ties him up, & tries a slide by, nothing.
Sealey dives in on an ankle & gets another TD 4-0
Sealey with a throw by for another TD, 6-0
1-min left
Thing up, looking for an opening
Hutchings shoots, Sealey counters for another TD, 8-0
Tying up & circling
Hutch shoots, nothing

8-0 Sealey

P2:
Hutching a little more active, but not doing much
Sealey shoots for a leg, switches to a go behind & gets the TD 10-0 (3:14)

Joseph Sealey TECH Dante Hutchings 10-0 (3:14)

Beautiful match from Sealey. 5tds on 5 different techniques. The 1st and 3rd tds were especially nice. The first one his opponent went underhook on Sealeys left and Sealey went sweep single to his right for a quick td. His 3rd td was just a sweet duck under where he completely disappeared on his opponent and got a super easy 2. Sealey still keeps a high pace but has really refined his style. He doesn’t shoot just to shoot any longer. He’s much smarter on the mat and his handfight has jumped levels. I just love watching him wrestle
