On my 14th birthday, "Without You" by Nilsson was #1. I think I was slightly premature, or it would have been Heart of Gold by Neil Young.

Without You is actually a song written by Badfinger and on their 1970 album No Dice. Nilsson heard it in 1971 at a party and decided to record it for Nilsson Schmilsson.
If you look closely at the Nilsson Schmilsson album cover you will see he is holding a hash pipe. This is an all time great album.
