Per Google the number 1 song the week of July 5th 1986 (my 14th birthday per the instructions) was ... There'll Be Sad Songs (To Make you Cry) by Billy Ocean. Um no - tell Alan Hunter he obviously knows everything and should be President of the United States (or tell him he is a complete moron based on the 14th birthday thing)! If I get to pick my song it would be Ribs & Whiskey by WS(MF)P

One thing a thread like this highlights is the fact that we have a decent percentage of posters who either :
1. Suck at reading comprehension.
2. Suck at following directions.

Its not PICK the song that defines your life, people.
Its which song was #1 on your 14th birthday.

This thread is really just a way to discover facts about the members of this board. A lot of us have caught on.

'Tonight's the Night" by Rod Stewart.
I don't mind it being Rod the Mod, but I would have preferred some of his earlier works.

I thought it was “What is your defining song?” until I saw some of the responses and said, “Are you kidding me?”

That's a good one. Good message in that song, though cheesy. Mine is so bad I'm not sharing it.
