Even by that point Pitt had lost all confidence in their special teams so my immediate thought was they would and should go for it. What was remarkable was the terrible play call they came up with after taking a time out. You play to win - like the Eagles did in the Super Bowl. This was their biggest game of the year and they run that play. Remarkable.
I thought and those I was watching the game with agreed that Pitt ran out of gas. They were too hyped up. They were able to get far enough ahead two years ago to hang on for the win. It reminded me and my sister agreed of the Miami Nebraska Orange Bowl in 1994 when Miami was so hyped up early in the game that they ran out of gas and the 2nd half was dominated by Nebraska much to our dismay. That's coaching and Franklin badly out coached Narduzzi.
