Lamont Wade's talent could prompt the coaches to tweak the corner depth chart
Lamont Wade, Penn State's blue-chip true freshman corner, is taking part in spring drills after enrolling in January. The Lions are deep at the cornerback position with starters John Reid and Grant Haley returning as well as the top two backups -- Christian Campbell and Amani Oruwariye. But James Franklin and his staff have not been shy about playing true freshman right away. Look what he did with Reid early in 2015.
"He's a different kid because he's already physical," James Franklin said of true freshman corner Lamont Wade, who is participating in spring drills. "He has tremendous confidence, but sometimes that goes away when you get to college. That hasn't gone away. He seems to learn well. He's made plays so far."
