Unfortunately not from their basketball team. . .

On Monday evening, Penn State announced that former Villanova quarterback Kyle McCloskey will join the program beginning with the upcoming 2018-19 season. McCloskey, a rising sophomore, started games for the Wildcats toward the end of his freshman campaign. A native of Lower Gwynedd, Pa., he stands at 6-foot-4, 210 pounds.

Prior to arriving at Villanova, he attended Germantown Academy in Fort Washington, Pa., where he played football and basketball. During his time at Germantown Academy, McCloskey became the first Philadelphia-area high school athlete to pass for more than 3,000 yards in football and score more than 1,000 points in basketball in his career. He was named to the Pennsylvania All-State team as a junior and senior and started all four years.

As a senior, he averaged 21 points and 11 rebounds per game. During his time at Germantown Academy, the Patriots won four Philadelphia Inter-Academic League championships.

He's a walk-on.
