Official PSU - Akron Game Thread ...

Trace shows that if you key on Barkley he will make you pay for it.

Another joke call by the b1g officials - the official on the play CLEARLY does not call Barkley out, but somehow the official trailing some 30 yards behind the play over-rules the official on the play..... This conference and its officials are a freaking joke!

BTW, the Akron QB whining to officials for a call about getting hit as he throws being illegal is pathetic - beyond pathetic honestly.
But I bet they call it at some point. They're looking for it now and tend to see things that aren't there.

C'mon Preppie. Learn a little something about officiating. Trail official has the OB look on that play. You make yourself look foolish nearly every time you complain about the officials.

Johnson needed to jump and attack that ball, don't wait for it!

Announcers said the same thing. Said trailing official was too far away.

blood bath.

Keys to the game: Domination on both lines. When was the last time we witnessed that, even against a cupcake?

Words don't matter.

Facts don't matter either.....first of all Blackledge did not play QB for PSU's last #1 ranked team (that beat the #1 team in their bowl and was the ONLY UNDEFEATED team in the nation in 1986), secondly 1986 was not 35 seasons ago and lastly there was no actual "National Champion" in 1994 determined on the field - PSU had every bit the claim that anyone else does to the 1994 Championship as an UNDEFEATED, UNTIED, MAJOR BOWL CHAMPION. But the talking heads don't let little things like "FACTS" get in the way of their ignorance and bafoonery.

I would like to see Tommy Stevens, but McSorley needs to work on his in game passing a bit more.

Need to clean up a few things, but that's what first games are for. Overall great playing by defense. A few drops by receivers and the missed FG are the errors that stand out. Lots of time for the second string today. I'd like to see Sanders, Robinson, and Stevens in the game in 3rd qtr.

Nope, if we want to be legit national championship contenders, we have a lot of work to do. Clearly we are off to a great start and it's wonderful to have depth again, but Akron is just garbage.
So your saying we need to be in mid-season form first game of the season?
