Perhaps our only need on defense next year is a big run-stopping DT to replace PJ. Setting the transfer portal aside for one moment, what about Artis? There hasn’t been much chatter about him but at 6’4”, 315 pounds, could he fill that role? What do people think?

He very well could be a part of the rotation next year, but I'd be willing to bet he's still not strong enough yet. A good off season, perhaps he gets there. The big thing is where they want him. We can shout about big 330 lbs 1Ts all day, but if the staff wants him at 291 then it going to limit his time.

PJ and Tangelo in '21 were a good combo. They survived 58 rushes by Wisconsin without ever breaking while our offense was ineffective. Auburn had a good game yardage wise, but didn't put the nail in the coffin. Iowa was held in check and that's where PJ got injured. Illinois is the outlier, but we didn't have a PJ on the bench.

I believe Ellies was announced on senior day so he is likely not returning, but still could.

He is line to start as PSU why would he Portal and he is not getting drafted in the first 5 rounds in the NFL. He should stick around PSU at least one more year maybe two if he wants to playing in the NFL.

Yep, that's what I said. There have been some that have still returned.

Would be great if Ellis plays another year for PSU.
