Respectfully disagree. The Oxford Dictionary definition of arrogant is “having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities.”
I like this too. Carter is Carter. He seems to like playing that semi Villan roll. He put on a crazy butt kicking over the #2.
As an Iowan and a diehard Hawk fan you are definitely correct. I hated when fellow coaches preached on hand fighting and snap downs more than offense. Hand fighting and snap downs have there place for sure, but use them quicker and as a setup and not to just think you’re wearing someone down for a last second takedown. It’s boring and it’s a bad philosophy. Cael’s philosophy is more akin to Bruce Lee’s philosophy with Jeet Kune do. Look it up, it’s the definition of the difference. I love Iowa, but we are wrestling like it’s the 80’s and coaches want you to wrestle from a place of hate. That’s not fun and it has to tire an athlete’s mind that is already pushing limits that most never will.
Even if Brooks wins his 4th in the same tournament?
Why put down anyone's beliefs? This world does not need any more judges, just more Love.
Brooks takes the occasional unnecessary loss. I know that Carter lost to Washington as a freshman but he’s going to go three (and possibly four) straight years without a loss.
Just to compare since it’s fun to do:
If you are confident and a true believer in your beliefs, why should you care what someone else thinks or says about your beliefs?
The simple answer is, the wrestler currently on the mat!
Here’s a thought.. if you see someone win and think they may something that will make you uncomfortable when the stick the mic in his face, simply leave the room or turn down the volume. This aint hard folks.

I can't look at it this way. I think that anyone, except for Carter, would realize how silly it is for me to be on the mat, and therefore take it easy on me. Carter, on the other hand, would take it as a personal affront that this old head dared step on the mat. Whenever Carter isn't wrestling, I avoid making eye contact with him from the stands.
If Carter told you to jump from your treestand, would you?
Pedro Martinez, Randy Johnson, and Roger Clemens would throw at heads with no remorse. Greg Maddux was known as a "comfortable out."
