Jonathan Kaloust Bearcat Open (11/12)

Gardner went down to Hunter Richard Cornell 9-5.
Manville shut out 4-0, Viruet from Brown.
Van Cura moves on 2-1.

Yianni outwrestling Nick, up 9-5. Nick starting down in 3rd.
12-7 final.

Yianni is the real deal, uniquely gifted on his feet. Can turn anything into a TD.

Ugh, Shak holding his knee. Casey, team doc looking at him. Tied 2-2 (Shak TD, Darmstadt reversal) at end of first. Shak walking it off, limping. Will continue. Darmstadt takes down, gets E1. Shak gets TD, goes up 4-3. Darmstadt reversal and two backs, 4-7.
Third period, Shak can't get out from under, ends 8-4 Darmstadt, with 3:45 riding time.

Bo Pipher down 7-5 to Furnas, Cornell. Starting down in third.
Bo gets the E1 but can't get the TD, finishes 4th, 9-7 final.

Nick Lee giving Dane Heberlein the business, 6-2 end of first.
13-2, 2 minutes riding time, tech should be along shortly.
And there it is, 21-5. Third place finish.

Too bad the best two wrestlers, in all likelihood, in the entire tournament, were at the same weight and faced each other in the semis instead of the finals.

Rasheed's third place match v Honis, Cornell, is up but don't see him there, maybe he's going to MFF out.

What's the story with Rasheed? Injury? Where? Serious? Anyone know?

Same thing happened to Nick his frosh year of HS. Matched up with senior Stevan Micic in the semifinals and lost, taking 3rd.

Paying it forward. If anyone wants to watch archived matches, you're welcome to use the passcode, "lemonguy"

It'll bump you if another user logs onto it, but I can't figure out DMs on here , so this will have to do.
You a real one.

Vito had backs that weren't counted in the 3rd that would've won it for him.

are you stating that the ref signaled for NF points but they weren't given to Vito? Or are you indicating that Vito had his opponent in what you felt was criteria, but the ref felt otherwise and didn't award points?
