Jonathan Kaloust Bearcat Open (11/12)

Hoeg gets in on a leg and practically demands it be turned into a scramble, needs to bring his own legs to the party, not leave them out there. Getting ridden too easily by Army's Hopkins. He's got some skill though.

Hoeg final was 7-2

Lindenmuth with a pin to move on in consis.

Obendorfer up 5-3 in second in a good match.

Think they're bringing all the consis through before starting champ round 3.

Obendorfer is tough, fun to watch. Gardner up 4-2 early against Garcia Binghampton.

Gardner tied 8-8 but down 2:00 RT after 2 and getting ridden in the 3rd.

Gardner let a 8-4 lead slip, tied 8-8 into 3rd. Gardner on bottom, Garcia with riding time clinched, effectively leads 9-8. Gardner needs to get out to tie. Gardner gets out, then gets a throw-by for the lead. I think there's a mistake in the score.

Gardner pulls out a 12-10 win with a late reversal, escape + takedown, gave up RT point.

Much better on feet, struggled on the mat, but gutted it out when it counted.

Nick Lee kind of rag-dolling Brian Courtney, up 6-1 early.
10-3 in second with 3 minutes in riding time. 2 TDs and 6 back points.
12-4, Nick takes bottom to start 3rd.
Nick an escape and a TD, up 15-4, 45 secs remaining.
Ends 16-4, over 4 minutes in riding time. Probably could've played catch and release to get the TF but preferred the punishing ride instead.

Every time I watch Lee wrestle I just think of the term 'mauling'. Nolf-like in his relentlessness but then will punish you on top like Zain

Giannangeli goes down 8-6.

Yianni dominating, playing catch and release. Semi against Nick Lee is going to be fantastic. Crime against humanity that it's a semi and not the final though.

Bo Pipher on 1 v Zach Krause.
Krause up 2-1, :32 riding time in first.
Pipher up 3-2, able to ride out to end first.
Krause E1, makes it tied 3-3. Pipher takes down to start third.
Phiper gets the escape, riding time not a factor. Krause gets to a leg, can't finish. :44 left.
Krause the aggressor but can't make anything happen. Pipher hit with a late, deserved stall call. Hangs on, onto semis. 4-3.

Hoeg up 6-1 quickly in first vs Stormer from Harvard, but looks tired.
Final 18-11.

If anyone is watching, I'm sure everyone would appreciate a more detailed PBP for the Yianni D vs. Nick Lee match. Thanks!

Van Cura losing to Maxwell Dean (Cornell... any relation?) 9-0 in third.

Giannangeli up soon on 1 against Lindenmuth
Gardner up on 3 soon as well, followed by Manville on same mat.
Blumer on 9.

Getting difficult to follow all this while simultaneously watching Bucknell dual and syncing Byers audio.

Giannangeli gets TD, back points and there's the pin against Lindenmuth.
