Cannot say I saw this coming at alll. Best Kasak has looked all year and a glimpse of why people think he can be so good
Kasak has to work on the bottom, but, wow, that was an impressive 1st and 2nd period!
BTN+ folks not too good at fundamental math, including basic additional/subtraction.

Last year if Haines got to a leg he finished, he hasn't been nearly as clean so far this year.

Levi in on a single early but doesn’t finish. Levi in on a low single and quick finish. 3-0. Riding hard / physical. Really working on top. Stalling on Rotkvich. Always feel bad for the being dominated on bottom stall call. 3-0 after one.
Haines TD and 6-0. Bow and arrow. Dang that looks painful. It’s now 10-0 with four backpoints. Really tough on top. Another turn and it’s 14-0. Almost a fall but couldn’t get it.
Neutral start all three periods. Trying to not get TD without going to back. Won’t go behind without cradle. Could have easily. Tries to not get TD again without back but can’t help it this time. Tech Fall.

It doesn't seem fair to let Haines learn the bow and arrow.
I would have like to seen Levi go for the gusto though.
I think he concentrated a bit too much on pressing down instead of going for the gusto. I heard a rumor that he once told these announcers that sometimes you need to give a point to get a point, but, I'm not sure if that is true.
I was thinking that after the first shot too but the sample size is still to small to know for certain.
Going for the gusto has to be the worst catch phrase I have ever heard.

Yeah. A slight adjustment to sync them up is well worth the effort.
Tech Fall over a guy that was R12 last year at 149 has me encouraged that we’ll be seeing points at 149 at NCAAs even with SVN sidelined.
