It's proof they emphasize academics more than Princeton does. Or at least they'll spin it that way.
Please take this opportunity to remember that Princeton has a culture problem.
Princeton, like all schools that recruit better than Pitt, is clearly cheating.
Their latest spin is that preferred walk ons are equally as important as high rated recruits because preferred walk ons believe in the school enough to prove themselves. And it has to be true because it's on the Lair.
And this is what makes what nardoozie is "building" special. He is bringing in kids who believe in pitt first, academics a close second, and football third. Yeah, that's it.
They don't seem to realize that the reason that Narduzzi is going after so many PWO's is because the 2 and 3 star guys that preceded them are simply not any good, and Narduzzi knows it.

You laugh, but I read that Sabah thinks that's the reason they didn't win the MNC last year. He's considering "processing" some of his 5 stars to make room for more walk ons.
You have to go read the thread about Florida's 250th recuit bring better than anyone in PA's top 15. I can't fathom how anyone could convince themselves of this but, they somehow managed to do it.
None. Only 3 star Pitt recruits are recognized as equal or better than 4 stars. Pitt commits also value relationships....

10 of Pitt's recruits are .1 from 4 stars. They are like 2 points from having the #1 Class in the country.

Has anyone ever seen another fanbase take this .1 and run with it the way Pitt fans have? It's almost become gospel at this point. If you think about it, Pitt is only 2 points from Georgia for top recruiting class. There cannot be a dumber fanbase in America. That would be true if the words "However this is too good" didn't directly follow that statement. The inference is that this is too good not to mention, particularly with Pitt coaches having keychains made and playing some really really dirty pool as it relates to PSU and Coach Franklin.
