Now that we have one step out of the way...I can continue down memory lane with my take on the key events that have led us to the doorstep of greatness...or at least back to national prominence.

Part 1 - Bill O'Brien settles the QB dispute and turns Matt McGloin into an NFL QB...thanks to those who provided commentary

Part 2 - Christian Hackenberg and Adam Brenneman reaffirm their commitments to a program facing sanctions

Due to the success at the QB position and the revitalized offensive scheme closely resembling an NFL offense installed by BO'B. These highly regarded national recruits are the catalyst for other top national recruits (Brandon Mahon, Garrett Sickles, Desean Hamilton and Andrew Nelson) in their own recruiting class but more importantly provided players like Chris Godwin, Mike Gesicki, Saeed Blacknall, and Deandre Thompkins and others a further reason to commit to a program under sanctions...having a top recruited potential future NFL QB to run an offense and get them the ball...without the commitment of these two recruits in particular (Hack and Brenneman) who were great ambassadors for our program, leaders on and off the field and played pivotal roles in a number of big wins during the BO'B and Franklin years respectively. These two men gave faith to a fan base that we would weather the sanctions and that top players believed in Penn State as a community that would rise from the ashes and be great once again.
