Some great matchups in the semis against Team Ohio Mafia, and then against MAWA (which made it basically a PA final). Good article. Do you (or anyone) know why Teasdale didn't wrestle in this or really any off season stuff up to this point? Was excited to see him in Juniors and then he didn't wrestle in this or the other tourney Young Guns was in?

Injured? Just taking some time off? Any input appreciated

According to the below-linked article and Trackwrestling's bracket for the 2017 California state tournament and Trackwrestling's wrestler profile, Sidney Flores is a senior from California who has committed to Air Force. He has placed in California only once, 2nd as a senior, as the 4th seed, after beating the 1st seed, Ethan Leake of Buchanan, in the semis. He has wrestled for 3 years for a school that had never (before him) produced a state finalist.

Also, his state 2nd place was at 120 pounds. He placed 7th at the 2017 USAW Junior Folkstyle nationals at 126 pounds.

No one ever followed up on why Teasdale dropped out of US Open at the very last minute.

Hasn't been in action since.

I heard a rumor he tried to make the hard cut to 57kg and became moderately ill from the attempted cut --
But nothing has been discussed in print or spoken word.
