Delay of game on the defense by the Dolphins gives the Titans the lead late.

The Titans player false-started but instead they called delay-of-game on the defense because the d-line was shifting. Never seen that before.
I’d say it’s called more often on FGs when teams will shift to try and draw the offside.

Could have gone either way, but certainly not a bad call (they often give the defense more leeway than they probably should there though based on the rules).

Very strange. D lines shift all the time. Never heard of delay of game on the F unless they tried a late substitution. Even they don’t call it.

And the announcers just sorta mumbled and didn’t try to explain it at at all. They have a rules expert they use all game but never went to him for an explanation.

yep...I've never heard of a call of "abrupt shifting". But according to this, it is in the rules but rarely called against the defense

Only saw some of fourth quarter….didn’t know there were two games last night. And was switching between games after wards.

But Levis looked great in those last drives. Made some beautiful passes with great touch….not easy for a strong armed rookie in critical drives. And he has such a quick release….just a flick of wrist and the ball rockets out thirty yards.

Love him or hate him…..he could become the next great Qb.
