MD gets on the scoreboard first, around the 12 min mark. PSU's D relaxed just a second and got burned.

Weather was terrible at the KO, with rain and strong rain. It appears that the rain has stopped (not certain). The wind seems to have let up a bit, but is still pretty strong into PSU's face.

MD nearly scored another goal around the 15 minute mark.

Damn, PSU, after starting slow, was starting to get the better of the offensive chances. Then they made a sloppy giveaway in their defensive third, and Stafford spun Hack around a couple of times, they took a shot which kind of handcuffed the PSU GK, and just crossed the line at the 30 minute mark. 2-0, MD.

PSU gets one at the 39:30 mark. 2-1, MD

Bloyou with some nice moves in the box, then Peter Mangione with a nice move, and perfect placement over the head of a defender that was guarding the near post, for the score.

damn, PSU has hit the crossbar two times in the 2nd half. The 2nd time was a wide-open goal, but PSU's shot hit a PSU player that was sliding along the goal line in the goal (he has missed the cross), then ricocheted up to the bottom of the crossbar but did not cross the line. smh

PSU gets the equalizer. Mangione picks off a throw-in in the MD defensive third, then Seth Kuhn knocked in the cross at the 72 minute mark.

We're going to OT in the PSU - MD match. PSU dominated the 2nd half, but could only get the equalizer. The side that's playing with the wind has dominated tonight, so hopefully PSU will get to choose the direction in the OT.

Edit: PSU was able to choose direction, and has the wind to their back. Now they have 10 minutes to get the winning goal.

Extremely impressed by PSU tonight

After a slow start, PSU really played impressively. And while the match went to OT, PSU has two shots that hit the crossbar, and another time PSU had a goal that was waved off as the PSU attacker was just a tad offsides. It was a very nice performance, especially since they've had trouble scoring the past few games.

Defensively, the 2nd goal PSU gave up was pretty brutal. Every defender and middle knows it's a cardinal sin to make an unforced turnover in the defensive third. Take away the momentary lapse by the D on MD's 1st goal, and their blunder on MD's 2nd goal, and PSU actually played a very strong defensive game. Despite trying to force numbers up to get the equalizer, PSU made quite a few plays where their middies hustled back and broke up a MD offensive thrust.

Ideally for PSU, as we're now tied with you guys for the lead in the B1G standings, we'd beat Wisconsin on Sunday, while MD would beat you guys. That said, best of luck on Sunday, and hopefully we'll get to meet up with you guys in the B1G tourney.

That Wisconsin game should be interesting for PSU. We had plenty on our hands last Sunday with them, as their D was way better than expected. Although Wisconsin is a little Jeykel and Hyde this season, so who knows which type of Wisconsin will you get. But they wore off in the 2H, after we out shooter them 13-2, since their backline started to collapse
