I consider myself a bit of a "get off my lawn" guy, but I like the alternate uniform idea.

They're not ugly at all. I like the old time socks. The numbers on the helmets and gray facemasks are good. The stripe on the pants isn't obnoxious, just a traditional stripe. I agree the white cleats are hideous.
