With spring practice in the rearview mirror, Penn State's coaching staff is now switching its focus to the spring evaluation period. For those wondering how it all works, click here to read more about the rules. The staff splits up 168 evaluation days between now and the end of May. They're allowed to see prospects twice, so they'll likely see most of their top 2020 targets at some point in the next week or two, then again later in May.
But to start the eval period, I confirmed earlier today that Sean Spencer, Terry Smith and Tim Banks all headed out to Germany last night to attend a skills camp outside Frankfurt. That camp will take place tomorrow. James Franklin is expected to fly out tonight and join them. He'll also be the keynote speaker at the event.
While in Germany, Spencer will meet with Joseph Darkwa. If you remember, the staff didn't fly out to Germany in January, so this will be the first time that they meet with Darkwa's entire family at their home in Germany.
