Pittsburgh blog is about to make you blow a gasket (selling "Joe Knew" shirts)

Good. This will play right into our hands. Let's cancel the series, forever, and let them stew in their own stooly juices.

I'm actually happy about this. It's perfect publicity for them, and it will just give our guys even that more impetus to wipe their asses all over Heinz.

If Pitt fans show up in these t-shirts and they're seen on TV or it makes the rounds on the 'net, the Pitt admin. will be out apologizing for their fans behavior, like the Rutgers admin. had to do, and it will make Pitt fans look all the more like the perennial losers they are. Nothing says inferiority complex more than vile shit like that. Let's face it, teams that beat their rivals (real or perceived) on a regular basis get their satisfaction from winning. When you're a perennial loser, you have to find other ways to get your satisfaction, 'cause you know deep down your team is going to lose. Pitt fans know that even if they manage to win this year that they're screwed the next three with the way Penn State's been recruiting.

A majority of you believe you walk on water so I'm hoping this series goes away sooner rather than later. That said, those shirts are in terrible taste and if that's how you have to make money you shouldn't be affiliated with any university.

They will always have this over our heads so don't give them the attention they desire. Why even start this thread?
Your act is tired and old. Why pretend to be a Penn State fan?

For anyone else that said, "Why post this?" Because it was going to get posted anyway and it's news regarding our university. Blame whoever you want but it's news nonetheless.

It doesn't really make any sense? So Pitt fans are going to wear shirts that are Penn State colors? Maybe they'll use it as an excuse when Penn State fans outnumber Pitt fans. They'll claim there were actually 1000s of ahole Pitt fans wearing these disgusting shirts.

Maybe the real reason to make these is to claim all the blue and white in heinz field was represented by this shirt. I'm sure if that idiot blogger has aNY semblance of a brain he knows win or lose its going to be a bad look for Pitt on 9/10.

Wear white. :)

I was thinking the same thing, wondering how we will recognize the 27 Pitt fans actually at the game.

I don't know if we walk on water, but Pitt folks like this guy surely walk on urine.

It's a god damn shame that they take joy in kids being molested so they can have some jokes. Speaks volumes to what kind of people(and I use that term loosely) they truly are.

And Penn State is the one with the culture problem....

Most Pitt fans seem pretty reasonable.

PSUisNFL's Busts... Please go, a joke of a program rules your sorry a$$ life; keep your $hit to your lame a$$ board; don't forget to go jack off at the resting dump where the dead POS of a coach rots... Your current POS of a coach allowed and covered for yet another RAPE, should have used his wife as an f...ing escort... Same goes for your POS Pres... What if his granddaughter was the one involved with the POS FSU QB? Sorry, gutless motherf...ers.

More of the same from pitt athletic supporters -- Expend energy hating Joe and Penn State rather than supporting pitt.

Penn State is what they aspire to be. Period.
This was my first thought when I read this thread. The fact is that most Pitt fans have had an unrelenting hatred of Joe Paterno for years, certainly since he came to prominence and dominated the Pitt series over his career. The hatred grew stronger every year and never subsided once Penn State elected to join the BIG and end the long standing annual rivalry. All the Sandusky scandal did was provide an easy target for Pitt fans to go after IMO. That said, it really is a low blow and totally an 'in the gutter' approach to push those shirts for the upcoming renewal of the series.

Low blow but Pitters are good at that.

Don't tell anyone, it's a PSU grad selling them and the $ is going to a new JoePa statue. Pitt fans are such idiots!

bmw199, with all due respect, there is no reason for Penn Staters to blow a gasket here. This is expected behavior from pitt athletic supporters. As always, pitt lowers itself and Penn State rises above it. This is nothing new.

Don't blow a gasket. Don't feel sorry for pitt athletic supporters. They do it to themselves. Remember that we are better and focus on the Blue and White, the truth, and Success With Honor.

Unfortunately, I fear this is what Penn Staters attending the game in Pittsburgh will be walking into. Hopefully I'm wrong and it's just another football road game but I fear there's real potential for things to get out of hand in pockets around the stadium.

Penn State and Pittsburgh are renewing their in-state football rivalry on Sept 10 at Heinz Field, and a Pittsburgh blog is selling T-shirts referencing the Jerry Sandusky scandal leading up to the game.

The blog - thepoint412.com - hasn't posted new content to its site since early June, but it sent out a tweet on Wednesday morning saying it was selling a shirt in Penn State colors for $20 that simply reads, "JOE KNEW."

You can see the shirt in the tweet below.

Wow. This will not end well for them.

I was at Syracuse, October 17, 1987. Syracuse won for the first time versus Penn State, since October 17, 1970. It was a drunken brawl fest in the stands. All of the Orange hate for State came out that day. It was awful.
I was in Pittsburgh on September 16, 2000. The same thing that day. So much foam at the mouth hate that day. I fear it will be far worse this season, with people being seriously injured.

My local news said Pitt set a new season ticket sales record, didn't say it was from PSU fans buying them. Wish everyone would boycott the damn game and get their season ticket money back

I hate to say this but, this is what PSU and it's fans get for being so god damn politically correct. I'm still waiting to find one accuser that I actually believe. Aaron Fisher? Matt Sandusky? Allen Myers, the fricken kid in the shower who adamantly denied any abuse and we find any way to discount him, the janitor story, and on and on and on. Time to admit it, we were duped. All it would have taken was for due process and it never would have gotten to this point. But no, we fire Joe and immediately start having candle light vigils. Makes me ill.
I've read the foregoing passage several times, and am still trying to figure out whether this is positive or negative comment on PSU and its fans. Jeannie, you need to be a little less obtuse.
