Pitt Pregame

I just remembered something I noticed at the game. I was reminded while watching the Penn State Football Story. Pitt was on the field for the band, pregame, and national anthem. Meanwhile PSU came on to the field late. Same time as the Pitt band was starting to head to their seats.

Was that gamesmanship? If so - was it Franklin or did Pitt purposely do it to the team?

I was at road games at Iowa and Northwestern last year and the team did not come out until after the National Anthem at either game, basically staying in the equivalent of the tunnel at both places, so this move wasn't just for the Pitt game.
