Good for him. Hope it works out for him. Would be curious to know what his "hardship" was??
His hardship was Justin Fields.
Looks like CJF will be trying to fill some scholarships with GT's later this Spring....

Penn State will host a graduate transfer from Virginia Tech in early April.
Former Hokies receiver Eric Kumah announced on social media Monday that he will check out the Lions April 6, which is the Saturday before this year’s Blue-White game at Beaver Stadium.
The Lions recruited Kumah, from Woodbridge, Va., back when he was a three-star recruit in the Class of 2016 before he ultimately picked VT. There, he hauled in 70 passes for 883 yards and nine scores over two seasons on the field. He redshirted as a true freshman.

Official Visit to Penn State April 6th#WeAre
Kumah, who stands 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, shares a hometown with Penn State running back Ricky Slade. Because he redshirted, he’ll have two seasons to play at the school of his choice.
The Lions have plenty of room to add graduate transfers after losing at least 10 players to transfer following the 2018 season and double that to graduation while signing 19 players to their Class of 2019 back in December. At least one more, end Smith Vilbert, will sign on the traditional Signing Day Feb. 6, and Penn State is expected to add to that total between now and then.
If he selects PSU, Kumah would become one of the oldest receivers in first-year position coach Gerad Parker’s room, as the Lions lost DeAndre Thompkins to graduation while Juwan Johnson and Brandon Polk are grad transferring out of the program after the spring semester.
Great to see that Jarvis Miller is transitioning well into a leader at UMass, and is likely to get lots of playing time this coming season. He seemed like a great kid and hard worker at PSU and it's super to see him get a chance to get on the field closer to his home.

Not that is would ever happen at PSU. What about Torrence Brown going to play at S. MissSIAP.
Penn State is hosting former Ohio State defensive tackle Malik Barrow this weekend, Lions247 has confirmed. The former four-star prospect out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., entered the Transfer Portal earlier this year after medically retiring from the Buckeyes in October.
Barrow will be eligible immediately upon graduation from Ohio State in June, and will have at least two seasons of eligibility remaining. He suffered a torn ACL in the fourth game of the 2017 season after tearing his other ACL during his senior year of high school.
So the Suckeyes process this kid, he retires for medical reasons and now he ends up at another school? Nothing fishy there.

Best wishes to ZP.

Penn State has offered a scholarship to former Virginia Tech specialist Jordan Stout, he announced on Tuesday evening. The sophomore specialized in kickoffs for the Hokies during the 2018 season, booming 60 touchbacks on 71 kickoffs.
Get him!!!!
A few extra touchbacks would be welcomed this year
Agree.
Have you or anyone else heard what the WR from VA Tech is doing?
He was another one I thought could help.
Good for Mark. I wish him nothing but the best. I've always liked what he brought to the locker room.
Clemson LB Rahshaun Smith has put his name in transfer portal. Smith is a former 5 star from Baltimore who visited/camped at Penn State a number of times. Already graduated from Clemson so would be immediately eligible and have two years left.

Seems like he's already made up his mind on where to go.
When you are just more physically gifted than most who you play against from the time you are 8 yrs old until you graduate HS and all of your 'people' are telling you how great you are all the time this type of stuff happens. Never learn work ethic or how to be a teammate.
ST? IIRC down 13-3 at home vs Minny.....Still a pretty long list of players in the portal that have not found a destintation.

For some reason I'd still like to hear that Irv Charles some how mended his situation and played again for CJF. He was a terror on special teams coverage, and although we are looking for improvement on special teams with the new coach, an assassin in coverage would make a nice improvement....

Most penalties per minutes of playing time in the history of college football.
