NLWC in Rome

Others Willie has mentioned: Fox, Gilman, Green, JO, McKenna. 65 should be interesting, JO was as good as he’s looked at the Open.

I guess this means we’ll know what weight Bo is going at, at least. The Nolf tease is a bummer though.

I hate to say it. Maybe Jason should just get the knee fixed. Sure surgery takes him out of contention for the trials but wrestling is not a sport where you can go balls out, against some of the best in the world, while protecting a bad knee.

He is my all time fav, and looked awesome against Cenzo. Short the injury I thought he was going to surprise the world and make it, but now against that gauntlet???

Maybe he just wants to make the team as a training partner. Yanni is rubber man and may have been able to win NCAAs with a torn ACL, but NCAAs is not the world and folk is not free.

His choice of course and I am his biggest fan but it seems that might be the same knee as 2018. Time alone might not heal all wounds. The timing sucks for both him and Cassar.

Any results from these semis, or from today?
Bo had an awesome comeback to win. I think he was down and came back to win 13-12, don’t quote me on the score. His quarter he got teched 10-0 in the first to an Iranian. That same Iranian went on to pin Snyder in the semis after being up 4-0 (8-0 after the feet to back). Snyder won by forfeit against Bo for bronze.

Snyder is wrestling for Bronze later today, I believe--the forfeit was the repecharge semi.

Bo gave up 10 points on his 3 attempts to double-over/trip the Kazak but still managed to win 13-12.

I haven't seen all of the results. Can anyone tell me if Gable Steveson wrestled? I thought I heard he was heading to Rome after their match with Wisconsin. If so, how did he do?

No Steveson. The early reports were that he was going, but they said on BTN during the broadcast of the Minny/Wisconsin dual that he had changed his mind.

Dear diary,

Please let me never write false equivalencies. Especially those I don't really understand, nor comprehend in the first place.

As much as I would like to look cool in the moment, please stop me.

Best regards
Present time me

Well done

Another L for PSU/NLWC. Embarrassing for Snyder to get dominated like that.

Don't worry LP. The sun will rise again tomorrow.
