Oh, The Straub Brewery Eternal Tap. Back in the 80’s, as an employee you could drink as much beer during the work day, for free, as long as you could still do your job. For visitors, which was probably every factory worker in St. Marys, on a daily basis, you could show up at the end of a work day and drink from the Eternal Tap and could drink your fill daily for no charge - the only rule is you had to wash your glass, once done and place in the dry rack. As a college student working for the recreational sports department for St. Mary’s, would head over, with my fellow coworkers, on a daily basis at 4pm and talk shop with the hourly factory workers. Life was really good, back in the day!
