$50 +$3 in fees.

(This may be the first thread I ever started.... watch, someone will find one that was already started for this topic....)

This event has very limited seating: 600 total tickets. Fifty percent of the seating opportunities are in the bleachers, while the remaining 50% of the spectating opportunities is via standing room only mat side. This tournament is built for the teams and competition oriented, not spectator driven. The format is modified round robin bracketing - not a traditional championship bracket. Essentially 6 to 8 evenly matched competitors are positioned in a modified round robin bracket : 3 on one side and three on the other . Guaranteeing each competitor 3 to four matches . That said there will be some unbelievable wrestling and marque national level match ups peppered throughout the day. In the end this setting will be very similar to the Bill Farrell (NYAC) Freestyle tournament. 17 teams will participate on 8 mats ( the lower gym), 2 mats in the upper gym. We just want to make sure expectation are met and you understand the setting in advance. ||Finally theres also a D-1 dual meet tournament at Library HS on Saturday Nov 11, 2023 . |

Sounds reasonable. Especially since PSU wrestles Lehigh in Rec Hall this year.

It probably has fewer wrestlers than the D11 AAA tourney.

Guessing then it comes down to facility availability and cost.

I believe the latter. Last year there was no issue sitting. No guarantee for this year, as PSU was not there last year.

If you subscribe for the month to watch this you will also get the Army Invitational, the Bill Farrel and the NWCAall star event. Not a bad cost to get those 4 events.

I didn't realize they finally figured that one out. I suggested they have a monthly option for a premium price, several years ago. Maybe, I will cave in this time. I have boycotted them ever since the Willie law suit on principle.

Actually for me, by writing off Flo and just decided to go old school and listen, I don’t experience any angst or hand wringing over Flo’s policies and technical misses. The magic of imagination and story telling…..is just better for me.

Probably not, with Alirez taking an Olympic redshirt, but since the matches are unofficial, who knows. I’d think Beau vs Real is more likely.

I saw somewhere were woods said we may see a rematch this year and was thinking maybe this could be the venue. But than wondered if the “committee” would choose someone not wrestling this year.

The matchups this year could be highly entertaining.

Those matchups work I’d prefer Matthews . I’m not convinced that would be the coaches mentality but it certainly could be.

Guess I won’t say who I want to see at 184. Lol

While I agree with the comments about Flo's streaming issues, and I also much prefer Byers, Penn State has had their share of audio streaming issues on the GoPSU Sports platform over the past couple years.

Yeah maybe, but we are not paying $150.00 a year for the rights to watch it. I don't know, but the more I pay the more I expect. Just one persons opinion.

My comments were not meant to be an apples to apples comparison; and I agree and share your frustration with Flo-I'm certainly not defending Flo. I'm just frustrated that a multimillion dollar operation such as Penn State Athletics can't get their s___ together with live audio (wrestling) streams.

We probably won't know matchups until game day. Last year weights were divided into smaller groupings, with no crossover.
